The Montana Suffolk Sheep Breeders Association was founded in 1981. The purpose of the Association is to foster, promote, and develop the Suffolk breed and the sheep industry in general.
The Association is a nonprofit corporation in the state of Montana. Owners and breeders of purebred and registered Suffolk sheep within the state of Montana are eligible to become members of the Association. The annual membership dues are $20.00 for voting members over the age of 18 payable after January 1 of the current year. Junior memberships are available to Suffolk sheep breeders under the age of 18 for $10.00 annually. Junior memberships do not carry voting privileges.
Major funding to carry out the goals of the Association is derived from annual membership dues and commissions from the State Suffolk Sales.
One annual meeting of the membership is held each year in Billings to elect officers and conduct other business of the Association.
